. <br />Park Board Meeting <br />February 3, 1971 <br /> <br />3 <br />Brauer and Associates - Park System Analysis <br />After a short discussion on how the Park Board might best assist <br />the Council in regard to the Board's recommendation to retain <br />Brauer: and Associates to carry out a park system analysis, the Board <br />requested that the Council defer action on ,this matter until the <br />Park Board submits further information to the Council. <br />_District 621 Recreation Committee <br />Weissman moved to recommend Jerry Smith to the Council as the Park <br />Board representative to the District 621 Recreation Committee. <br />Barnhill second. Motion carried 6 - 0 <br />Planning Commission <br />Dahl reported on the Planning Commission meeting of February 2. <br />The area discussed was north of 694 and east of Long Lake. Concern <br />was expressed by the Planning Commission as to access to the Long <br />Lake Park site from the area southeast of the park. The Board stated <br />that access to that portion of the park was not particularly crucial <br />as a through park road north to south was probably not possible to <br />construct. <br />Capital Improvements Meeting <br />Gunderman read a letter from the Citizens Study Committee requesting <br />Park Board participation in a meeting to discuss the Capital <br />Improvements study. The Board is to develop a presentation including <br />the three highest priority capital programs for the next 1-2 years, <br />the rank-order in which these programs should be accomplished and an <br />explanation of why these 3 programs were selected over others.. <br />The Board set a special meeting for February 10, 1971 at 8:00 p.m. ; <br />to discuss the presentation and to reconsider the recommendation of <br />Brauer and Associates to conduct a park system analysis. <br />Subcommittee Report on <br />Hagemeyer and Sherlock <br />zoning ordinance relat <br />dwelling developments. <br />to study the submitted <br />regular March meeting. <br />Zoning <br />submitted a summary of those sections of the <br />ing to the provision of green area in mu ltiple <br />.After a brief discussion, the Board decided <br />materials and discuss the issue at the <br />Meeting adjourned at 10:03 p.m. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Robert M.
