<br />PARK BOARD MEETING <br />April 22, 1970 <br />The meeting was called to order at 8:00 p.m. <br />Presentz Barnhill, Dahl, Hagemeyer, Gunderman, Sherlock, Weissman, <br />Council Representative Moen, Schaefer <br />The minutes of April 1, 1970 were approved as submitted. <br />Consideration and recommendation fAr Planting and Electrical Work <br />7th Street Park Site <br />Motion by Hagemeyer, .seconded by Barnhill to recommend Council award <br />the bid on the planting to Ryan Landscaping - Division 2 in the amount <br />of $16,910.00 and that alternate Bid A and B be rejected. <br />Carried <br />Motion by Weissman, seconded by Dahl to recommend that Division 4 <br />electrical be awarded to Kvalsten Electric in the amount of $9,017.00 <br />a.nd. to reject the alternate A bid. Carried <br />Selection of Vice Chairman <br />I~?otion by Weissman, seconded by Dahl to appoint Les Hagemeyer as second <br />Vice Chairman for the balance of 1970. Carried <br />Citizen's Study Committee Tour <br />The Board discussed the purpose of the Citizen's Study Committee tour <br />of the Village and also the Board's role in this program. <br />Naming the Parks Activities <br />The Board discussed the Park Naming Activities to date. <br />Dahl volunteered to assume the work begun by Chairman Hansen regarding <br />the program to name parks. <br />Invitations to Donald Breuer and Mr. Dickey for Citizen's Study <br />Committee Tour <br />The Board requested that invitations be sent to Mr. Brauer and <br />Mr. Dickey to join in the Citizen's Study Committee tour of the Village.. <br />Naming 7th Street Park Site <br />Motion by Hagemeyer, seconded by Sherlock that the Park Board recommend <br />to the Council that the 7th Street Park site be named in honor of <br />Richard Hansen, but the exact name of the park be withheld until a <br />later date. Carried <br />
