<br /> <br />PARK BOARD MEETING <br />April 9, 1969 <br />8 p. m. <br />Present: Gunderman, Morris, Hansen, Weissman <br />Absent: Hagemeyer <br />Also Present: Claudia Jorgenson, League of Women Voters; <br />Robert W. Schaefer, Village Manager; <br />Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Fisher; Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Neumann. <br />ADDITION TO PARK PLANNERS BRIEFING, MARCH 12, 1969 <br />Additional comments from the Park Planner regarding work to be done at <br />Pike Lake was presented to the Board and made a part of the minutes. <br />CHANGE ORDER #4 PARK SHELTERS <br />At the request of the Board, the architect presented cost estimates for <br />the painting of the interior panel and block walls at the shelters. <br />The painting would be with cement enamel and the cost is $1,028.50. <br />Motion by Hansen, seconded by Morris to recommend that Council approve <br />Change Order #4. <br />4 ayes - 0 Hayes - carried <br />RESPONSE LETTER, PARK PLANNER RE: QUESTIONS ASKED AT MARCH 12 BRIEFING <br />A letter of response was mailed from Brauer and Associates regarding <br />questions that had arisen at the briefing. Referring to the letter <br />from the Park Planner, Item #1 "Karl Krahl has hired to remove the <br />ruts as much as possible in the rapidly freezing ground." The Board <br />requests that clarification be made of this statement for next meeting. <br />Item #2 has been requested to be checked into and reported back to the <br />Board. <br />LETTER, LAKE REGION HOCKEY ASSOCIATION <br />The Lake Region Hockey Association presented a letter dated April 8, <br />1969. The letter has been made a part of the minutes. <br />PARIC STAFFING <br />A discussion of the staffing of park facilities was held. Chairman <br />Gunderman presented a survey of staffing of parks in the Twin Cities' <br />communities. The Board requested that an outline be made for a Park <br />Director position, including the items of job description, qualifications <br />and approximate salary range. This matter should be brought for Board <br />consideration at its next meeting. <br />
