• <br />~-; <br />PARK BOARD MEETING <br />February 12, 1969 - 8 p.m. <br />The meeting was called to order at 8 p..m. <br />Present: Gunderman, Hansen, Morris, Weisman, Hagemeyer (late) <br />Claudia Jorgensen, League of Women Voters; <br />Robert W. Schaefex appeared at 9 p.m. and Joe 1Vesser, Council <br />Representative. <br />Also Present: Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Fisher, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Neumann, and <br />Mrs. James Sova. <br />Report on Mounds View Advisory Recreation Committee <br />Dick Hansen reported on Mounds View Advisory Recreation Committee meeting. <br />Paxk Plan was discussed with other representatives of the Committee. <br />Metro Open Space Activities <br />Tom Morris reported on Metro Open Space Activities. The Committee was very <br />interested concerning rezoning of small pieces of properties for water <br />storage, etc. on future developments. <br />Dedication of Park Land. New Subdivisions <br />Motion by Morris, seconded by Hansen to request Village Attorney for sample <br />ordinance relating to dedication of land in new subdivision as outlined on <br />page 38 of Metro Open Space System Booklet. <br />5 ayes - 0 Hayes - carried <br />Availability of Park Sites Spring, Summer 1969 <br />Motion by Hansen, seconded by Weisman, that based on the letter of January 20, 1969, <br />to the Village Manager that the ball fields on the three sites (Sunnyside, <br />Foss Road and Pike Lake) be closed unless spring and summer conditions warrant <br />a further reviewal. <br />5 ayes - 0 Hayes - carried <br />Park Site Naming <br />The Board discussed naming of Park Sites and concluded that there should be <br />greater discussion among various groups regarding procedure on park naming. <br />Discussion Memo dated January 22, 1969 <br />Motion by Hansen, seconded by Morris to receive discussion memo dated <br />January 20, 1969 and that memo be made part of the official Board proceedings. <br />5 ayes - 0 Hayes - carried <br />Letter, Januaxv 27, 1969 - E. E. Fisher <br />Motion by Hansen, seconded by Morris to receive letter dated January 17, 1969 <br />from Mr. E. E. Fisher and that this letter be ~,ade a part of the official <br />proceedings of the Board. <br />Letter - January 21, 1869 - Mr. Tom Morris and Mr. Dick Hansen <br />Motion by Hansen, seconded by Morris that the letter from Mr. Hansen and <br />Mr. Morris dated January 21, 196q be received by the Board and be made part of <br />the official .Board proceedings. <br />5 ayes - 0 Hayes - carried <br />
