. _ _ ~~ G. ~,_ F_ PARK BOARD MINUTES December 10, 1969 The meeting"was called to order at 8:00 p.m. Present: Dahl, Hagemeyer, Hansen, Morris, Weissman Also Present: Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Fischer, D. H. Barnhill, Mrs. James 3ova, Mr. Charles Hefty, Brauer and Associates, Mrs. M. Barthel, League of Women Voters representative..... The minutes of the November 12 meeting were approved with the following amendment.: Lake .Region Hockey the hours from "...9:30 to 11°00 on Saturdays". .Lake Region Hockey Schedule: Mr. D. H. Barnhill appeared before the Board to request that the schedule for Saturday afternoon be revised from 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. - 4030 p.m. making use for unorganized groups. The Board recognized the Association's interest in 3 hour time periods; however, the proposed schedule represented 11~ hour of unorganized use between noon and 1:30 anal 1? hour afternoon use between 4:30 and 6 p.m. .Motion by DaY?.l, seconded by Hagemeyer that the Lake Region schedule be revised allowing for the Association's reservations 3 p.m.-6 p.m., and furthermore, if this represents a problem for the Association, Mr. Barnhill should contact Mr. Richard Hansen (633-6932) who will serve as liaison for the park board. Carried Park Site Mississippi and Silver Lake Road The Board viewed a concept of the park site i_n the area. Based on the discussion, Mr. Hefty of Brauer and Associates was requested to proceed .with a preliminary concept plan. Legion Field Mr. Hefty presented a plan for Legion Field. The Board requested that some modifications be attempted in the area of the present hockey rinks and that the park planner prepare detailed cost estimates for the plan., Manager was requested to notify representatives of the volunteer fire department of progress to ~a~ate and informing them that a joint meeting wi.7.l bA requested sho.r..{,1~., . 7th Street N.Tj.'.
