Barnhill <br />Minutes from Octoter 8, 1958, approved <br />DISCUSSION OAT PROPERTY OF ERIN COURT• Discussion to the effect of <br />keeping thins~s as they are, with the Village putting in the road. Motion <br />made ~y Weissman, seconded. ~y Hagemeyer: The part of the land North of <br />Erin Court is considered part of the total park land, a.nd should ~e kept <br />as park land, along with the a.re ~s~o~uth of Erin Court. <br />SKATING SCHEDULE• Mr. Barnhill, •~].-~ ReS:i on Hockey association,~resent <br />to discuss hockey schedules. Motion xy Dahl, seconded ~y Weissman: Schedule as <br />requested ~y Mr. Harmon is approved (hockey rinks 11100-12:OOam Saturdays; <br />Free skating as outlined in Harmony letter of Octoter 31, 1969}. <br />The Park Board requested Village I~.an-rger Bob Schaefer to write to tIr. <br />Harmon confirming his request. Also to make note that Mr. Barnhill would <br />like to ~e notified when hockey topics a.re to to discussed at Park Board <br />meetings.Also a. Park Board re uest to Mr. Schaefer treat skating rules <br />and regulations ~e posted; and the schedules posted when they are final. <br />RAidSEY COUNTY LEAGUE OF ~IUNICIPALITI~. The Fark Board would like to ~e <br />kept informed on activities relating to the construction of ice arenas. <br />If possitle, please let park hoard memrers know in advance when meetings <br />on this subject will ~e held. Can answers ~e found to several cuestions? <br />What property will these arenas to constructed on? Is the 3,000,000 <br />figure a one-time thing,. or can this to repeated? What will the profits <br />of the ice arenas re used for? <br />LEMON FIELD: General discussion of the plans submitted k; Brauer. <br />Motion made tzr Hagemeyer, seconded ry Dahl: Re~ufimit plans to Brauer to <br />move play area North 50-60 filet, and expand the parkins area. to double <br />its size, a.nd have Brauer firing plans to December meting, a.nd plan to <br />discuss plans and itemized cost sheet. <br />Discussion a~ out village a~sor~ing part of cost o~ the enlarged parking <br />area. <br />Decided. to call special or general meeting of Park Board with the Fire <br />Department shortly after the December Park Board meeting, to discuss <br />costs, what the Fire Department can and wants to do, etc. <br />MISCELLANEOUS. Discussion of need for public rela.t 1 ns about the road <br />going through the park, to ease minds of residents concerned about it ' <br />being a tusy thoroughfare. Letter will to written ~y Hagemeyer for the <br />paper. <br />Status reports from Morris re soddin:? and seeding, land ac uisition, <br />parks teing oars, etc. Board re nests that Mr. Schaefer give i~imediate <br />attention to immediate reseeding of Pike Lake, Suni~yside, and Foss Parks. <br />Mr.Daniels from Sportsmens Club re nests they to contacted when plans <br />for Long Lake teing formulated, as they a.re interested in archery and <br />trap shooting areas. <br />Meeting adjourned on motion from Weissman, seconded ~y Da.h1, at g:55pm. <br />
