` ~ y. ORDINANCE NO. 454 AN ORDINANCE C;OVERNING SURFACE USE OF LONG LAKE The Council of the City of New Brighton does hereby ordain as follows: Section 1. Chapter 19 of the New Brighton City Code is hereby amended by adding thereto Article IIT, Long Lake Surface l-se which shall read as follows: Sec. 19-30. Definitions. ~ For the purposes of this Chapter, the following words and phrases shall have the meaning respectively ascribed to them: Wake: Is any disturbance of the water caused by a motor- powered watercraft operating in excess of closed throttle and in excess of 5 MPH. PIo Wake: Is the disturbance in the water, if any, caused by non-motorized watercraft or motorized watercraft oper~~t::ir~ at closed throttle and less than 5 MPH. Sec.. 19-31. No Wake Zones. is a. A no wake zone is hereby established on the surface Ut Long Lake to cover all waters within 100 feet of t.hc~ shoreline except as modified by authorized bouys. b. A no wake zone is established over the entire lake whe~~; the water elevation of the lake is 866 feet or more ~ak~<,~-~ mean sea level. c.
