Dayton on EIS and things he wants the city to do.
Gunderman said that the way it looks Met Council can't do
~~nylha.nq.
'Anderson said that's correct from Dayton's point of view.
Anderson said it may not hurt for people to call the Parks and.
Open Space people and ask them to continue moving on this
the ro ert title can't
process. If they hold back on action, p p y
change hands. That means the city doesn't get that money in
interest. It's a good hunk o'. money, About $300 a day. The
EIS question is not going to be resolved for about six months.
Tf the EI5 is ordered, it will be about a year. In that period
of time we would lose about $'50,000. Think it is important to
get Met Council to move. Their current intention is to make
approval on June 24th.
Gunderman asked what their pleasure was.
Dahl said it makes sense to call. Will call those she called
before.
Anderson said that calling a few people from Met Council would
be enough. Just want them to know we are still kicking.
Van Hatten suggested sending a letter.
Dahl felt a personal call is :_a mop°e effective.
Gunderman asked what are Dayton's legal chances.
VI,
Anderson said .none. The state law Dayton cites has never been
written up. The law cannot be enforced unless the rules and
regulations are written. Att+arney .for Met Council said it
doesn't hold water and a staff person said the same.. =-
Old Business
None
