Anderson <br />Re: July Park Board Agenda Items <br />Parks Tour <br />Arly has suggested a parks tour for .the board and interested <br />council and commission members. Please bring your calendars <br />and look for an appropriate date. <br />Well #12 <br />The City Engineer is requesting Park Board consideration of a <br />request to construct a new well at Creekview Park. Les Proper <br />will be present to answer questions. <br />Basic Industries- Gift. <br />Basic Tndustries has donated $610 to the Parks Department this <br />year. The Park Board requested that a decision on its use be <br />delayed .until the Gift Book has been distributed. Bring or <br />review your lift hook for ideas. <br />Playground Equipment <br />The Parks Department has.. received several complaints recently <br />about the structure affectionately known as the "green/brown <br />bugger" at Hasen Park. The structure:. is heavily used for <br />illicit parties by teens with the occasional fires, broken <br />glass, graffiti and noise that accompany these activities. <br />The structure is poorly designed especially being too high <br />and is very vulnerable to vandalism. <br />There supposedly has been two serious but unreported (to me <br />at leash. accidents in the last year; one broken arm and a <br />broken. leg. Area residents. have asked that the structure <br />be removed. There has been no written communication, however <br />T think we should seriously consider the request. <br />Stockyard Days <br />The event was a success.
