July 6,-1983 Park Board .Minutes. Page 6 1986 Gunderman asked what could be done for senior citizens. Anderson said we are not doing anything directly in park development but we have been adding more benches. We are putting a proposal in budget to increase the senior program .budget. The program is quite active and would like to do more for shut-ins, and help with transportation, etc. Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Hogan, to accept the following schedule for 1986. 1. Upgrade Parking at Sunny Square $10,000 2. Community-Involvement Program. $20_,000 3. Light and-grade athletic areas $65,000 4. Veterans Development $100,000 Motion. carried. 1987 Blomquist suggested putting in Innsbruck East Park site in "87. Anderson said the grading and parking lot will be started at Long Lake in about a week. Roads and parking lot started in the fall. Group picnic area graded and. trees-planted in the spring. Beach concessions and grading this fall... Want to have-beach in operation in `85. Trails should be in "85. Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Olson, to approve three items in '87 including the addition of $70,000 for site work at "Inr~s.bruck East." L Playground Equipment $10,000 2. Community Involvement Program $20,000 3. Innsbruck East Site $70,000 Motion carried. 1988 Johnson suggested a warming house area for skaters at the .Golf Course. Grimshaw suggested something at Silver Oak - perhaps sunshelter. Motion by .Johnson, seconded by Hogan to approve the following for 1988: 1. Upgrade Parking South. Hansen $2.5,000. 2. Community Involvement $20,000 3. Playground Equipment $15,000 4. Picnic:/Sun Shelter Silver Oak $ 6,000. 5. Warrninghouse at Golf Course $10,000 Motion carried.. Johnson noted that the Long Lake Advisory Board had its first meetings They will meet 4 time's a year on the 3rd Wed, of the month., 8:00 pm at.Edgewood. Meetings are open to the public. VII.
