PROGRAM DETAILS <br />The National Fitness Campaign applauds your local sponsor for its gift to your <br />community's parks. As the "health and Fitness Advocate," your sponsor is making <br />it possible for local parks to obtain approximately 75$ funding for any one of <br />the following: <br />1. Wells Fargo Gaaefield Jogginq Coarse ($7,500) -- a favorite among <br />families and beginning joggers. <br />2. Wells Fargo Gaaefield Fitness Court ($7,000) -- today's most ver- <br />satile fresh air fitness facility and multi-use exercise program. <br />Its compact 32'x32' court structure offers five self-guided activity <br />programs, including cardiovascular conditioning, weight loss, and <br />body building applications, which embrace a wide range of fitness, <br />health, and sports interests. <br />3. Wells Fargo Gaaefield Walking Couzse ($7,000) -- selected by the <br />Administration on Aging to kickoff its two-year "Health:- Make It <br />Last A Lifetime" campaign. <br />4. Wells Fargo Gasiefield Wheelchair Sports Coarse ($7,000) -- <br />recognized as the best athletic facility for disabled persons. <br />Parks may apply for more than one grant to promote community-wide fitness. <br />HOW TO QUALIFY. <br />TCi ~r.,alii'y, you must C:C'Aiiplete and. z~e~urn the enclosed application, along with ~ "" <br />a letter in which you briefly ezplain why the National Fitness Campaign <br />should reco~ntend your park depart=ent to your local sponsor, and agree to <br />the following: <br />1. To provide only the balance of the funding (F.O.B. Santa Rosa, CA) for <br />the Gamefield of your choice -- $2,500 for Jogging Courses or $2,000 <br />for each of the other Gamefields. <br />2. To submit a $1,000 deposit upon award; and, <br />3. To make every effort to install your Gamefield by Labor Day, 1984. <br />The National Fitness Campaign, as the Administrative arm of the Summer Games Pro- <br />gram, will be working on behalf of the hospital and, as such, has all site selec- <br />tion information. The Campaign is accepting applications for April and May awards. <br />Your sponsor has only a limited number of grants to share. among parks, schools, <br />and community service organizations.
