NEW BRIGHTON PARK BOARD <br />MINUTES <br />.NOVEMBER 6, 1985 <br />I. There were not enough members present to have a quorum but <br />Ken Johnson, Vice Chair called an informal meeting to discuss <br />the agenda items. <br />II. Members present: Eichers, Johnson, Rose, Seward <br />Members absent: Blomquist, Carlson, Gunderman~ Qlson~ <br />Van Hatten, Council Rep. Benke <br />III. Minutes <br />A. Minutes of October 2, 1985 <br />Will be considered at the December meeting <br />IV. Correspondence <br />A. Council Report <br />None <br />B. Long Lake Advisory Committee <br />Anderson said that the main discussion centered around <br />charging a fee. at the Long Lake beach. <br />V. New Business <br />A. Discussion Comp. Plan Meetings <br />Gerri Evans, from. Windsor Green, was present to discuss <br />Silver Oaks. She stated that a good number of people <br />showed for the October 3rd Park Meeting. Maintenance <br />of the park was discussed and moving the tennis courts <br />was also discussed. She drafted a wish list survey) <br />and had the Windsor Green neighborhood fill out the <br />list. Most residents were happy to give their opinions. <br />A total of about 67 families responded (about 80 individuals). <br />There were about. 275 people who had the opportunity to <br />respond. She had transparencies with the results broken <br />down in many different categories; i.e. age, first choice, etc. <br />Generally, the main wishes were for a recreational lighted <br />skating area, new play equipment and open air shelter with <br />tables. <br />Evans said that most people wanted the park. <br />Anderson suggested that he and Evans get together to go <br />over the results and compile them. <br />
