NEW BRIGHTON PARK BOARD <br />INUTES <br />SEF LBER 4, 1985 <br />I. The meeting was called tv order at 7:30pm by Chairman Gunderman. <br />II. All members and Council Representatives were present <br />III. Minutes <br />A. Minutes of July 29, 1985 were approved as submitted. <br />IV. Correspondence <br />A. Council Report <br />Council Rep. Benke stated the hotel far downtown was <br />approved. Budget discussions started last night. <br />There was discussion regarding the Long Lake Advisory <br />Committee. Ramsey County had received a number applicants <br />for the committee and have mentioned possibly adding two <br />more to the committee. <br />Anderson said that he and the City Manager met with <br />Ramsey County regarding amendments to the Master Plan. <br />Ramsey County staff has no problem with New Brighton <br />charging fees for the beach but they want to separate <br />the I~Ias`~Pr flan. and fee issues. <br />V. New Business <br />None <br />VI. Old Business <br />A. City Hall Renovation <br />Damon Farber, architect, presented the revised plan to <br />the Park Board. The amphitheatre is no longer in the <br />plan. The parking .lot is similar to what the city <br />recommended. <br />Tree plantings that are recommended are Locusts, Lindens, <br />Maples, Crabs. <br />The parking lot was being moved somewhat to the south. <br />The amphitheatre will be a separate bid item. The <br />entrance has been dressed up. <br />MOTION BY VAN HATTEN, SECONDED BY OLSON, TO APPROVE THE <br />CITY HALL RENOVATION PLAN AS SUBMITTED, WITH PARK AND <br />RECREATION STAFF APPROVAL ON THE TREE PLANTINGS. MOTION <br />CARRIED. <br />
