"Parking permits and visitor permits issued to tenants" (12/10). During a <br /> walkthrough on 21 February 2007, officers found that no vehicles in the parking lot <br /> displayed any type of permit. <br /> 3. "Interior hall lights fixed and operating" (12/10). Officers noted inoperative lighting <br /> in the common hallways of 2090 first floor and 2130 second floor on 21 February <br /> 2007. <br /> 4. "Exterior hall lights fixed and operating" (12/10). Also on 21 February, a light <br /> fixture on the garages was found to contain no bulbs. Further, a nighttime <br /> inspection of the property on 23 February found that eight of 20, or 40%, of all <br /> exterior lighting fixtures were inoperative. <br /> 5. "Security door locks installed in all buildings" (1/10). Routine foot patrol by <br /> officers on 25 January 2007 found that all exterior door locks were taped open with <br /> a similar Tyvek tape on each door, preventing them from securing. Further, keys <br /> were not given to Public Safety until February for these locks. On 21 February, it <br /> was found that locks were not properly functioning on the following doors: 2090 <br /> west side, 2100 west side, 2130 west side, and 2160 east side. <br /> 6. "Demolished unit doors in 2090 county rd E secured" (1/10). Also on 25 January <br /> during the foot patrol, officers noted that one of these units was unsecured. <br /> 7. "All work orders issued by city inspector completed" (1/10). See #1 above. <br /> 8. "Full compliance with all repairs and fire code and safety ordinates" (1/10). A <br /> return inspection of the property by Fire Marshal Kip LaMotte on 29 January 2007 <br /> confirmed that a 30-day notice for violations on 11 July 2007 had not yet been fully <br /> corrected. <br /> 9. "Few ground floor windows replaced" (2/10). A window at 2160 #101 that was <br /> broken on 18 January 2007 was found still to be covered by plastic sheeting on 21 <br /> February. <br /> B. Licensee failed to correct the following deficiencies noted in notices of violation in the time <br /> specified in the notice, in violation of City Code, Section 13-164(1)C.: <br /> Penrod Lane LLC was notified in July of housing and fire code violations at Timber Crest <br /> Apartments and was given between 30-60 days to bring the property up to standards. <br /> Licensee or Licensee's representative claimed in writing to be in compliance, yet as of <br /> January 29th, those violations had yet to be corrected. Specifically, the following violations <br /> had yet to be corrected: <br /> 1. Housing Code Chapter 13: 2090 building units 104, 105, and 204 - get necessary <br /> permits to repair or replace all systems (plumbing, electrical, heating, floor, wall, <br /> ceiling, window, door, detector, security, etc.) within 60 days. Date of inspection: <br /> 1.8 July 2006. <br /> 2. Minnesota State Fire Code 703.1: 2090 building - fire rated roof hatch required <br /> within 30 days. Date of inspection: 11 July 2006. <br /> C.
