The parking lot is contingent on the development so the street and parking lat can be done at the same time. The west parking area at Sunny Square will be expanded to the north. There is $10,000 in for play equipment. Would like to hold off on naming a particular location for the play equipment until after the park neighborhood meetings. Sliver Cak has a minimum of equipment, would like to put some there. There is $10,000 in the community development fund, $5,000 for picnic shelter; Vermant,Silver Dak- or possibly Totem .- Pole (although there is not much room there). Was pleased to see the Council approve the CIP as the Park Board had submitted. A summary of Capital Improvements at the parks was done and it was embarrassing to look at the statistics for Veterans Park. V. New Business A. Comprehensive Plan Review Gunderman asked if there were any problems with the meeting schedule for the neighborhood meetings. Anderson said they could be changed. Gunderman asked if the neighborhood meetings might be better at a different time. Anderson said the Comp. Plan should be to the Council in November or December. Would like to see the neighborhood meetings done in the late spring or early fall. Gunderman suggested the May Park Board meeting start at 5c00 or 6:00 and have a tour of the parks. Then the next meeting have history of the parks. Then in the fall do the neighborhood meeting Seward commented it would be fun. Rose asked how much publicity the meetings would be given. Anderson said he would like to see it in the City Hall Newsletter, newspaper, etc. and then have the survey handed out. Gunderman said maybe some meetings could be done in the spring and some in the fall. Steward felt the Park Board members should go to the meetings in teams. Van Fatten said going to everyone of the meetings would be too much. Anderson said staff from our department would include Pat Nelson, Mike Walker and myself. van Hatten though perhaps the meetings should be done right after school is finished. Would like to see the meetings completed in three weeks rather than 4 weeks. MOTION BY OLSON, SECONDED I3y VAN IIATTEN, TO HAVE SEPTEMBER PARK NEIGI~BORHOOD MEETINGS. MOTION CARRIED.
