The proposed amendments have been. <br />stimulated by annual staff review and re-evaluation of the general <br />development concept and specific action requests originated by the <br />Long Lake Improvement Association and the New Brighton Area Wistarical <br />Society. The proposed amendments collectively will enhance the site <br />development concept, increase scope of opportunities available to the <br />public, reduce the total cost of development and contribute to the <br />preservation of the historic heritage of the community. <br />I am submitting the proposed amendments to the City of New Brighton <br />for review and subsequent approval by the New Brighton City Council <br />in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 950, Laws of Minnesota <br />1971, which states that Ramsey County shall not develop any real <br />property without the approval of the governing body of the municipality <br />in which such property is located. <br />Please schedule the subject amendments on the agenda of the City Council. <br />The City Council's earliest attention to this matter will be appreciated. <br />If you have any questions, contact Ken Simons at 771-3413. <br />Sincerely, <br />Anthony J.
