Page 6 — February 27, 2007 New Brighton Council Minutes <br />City Manager -Dean Lotter <br />f r. Lotter reported that the next Council Meeting would be Tuesday March 6, 2007, <br />eceded by a joint work session with the Parks Recreation and Environmental Commission <br />d the Public Safety Commission regarding the Disc Golf Course. <br />Council Member Mary Burg — Parks, Recreation, and Environmental Commission <br />Councilmember Burg reported she has been unable to attend the Parks, Recreation and <br />Environmental commission meetings due to the Neighborhood meetings. <br />Council Member Ann Hoffman - Economic Development Commission <br />Absent <br />Council Member Sharon Doffing - Planning Commission <br />Councilmember Doffing attended a Planning Commission meeting; the Planning <br />Commission will be looking at reviewing the Park Dedication funds ordinance in the near <br />future. <br />Council Member Gina Bauman - Public Safety Commission <br />Councilmember Bauman will be attending the next Public Safety Commission meeting <br />March lst. Also Councilmember Bauman attended a neighborhood meeting at a residents <br />home relating to the issues at the Disc Golf course. <br />Mayor Larson <br />r oayor Larson met with neighboring cities Mayors and Betty McCollum to discuss the 35W <br />rridor, and various issues unique to each community. Metro Cities regional meeting was <br />attended, where transportation issues were discussed. A crime meeting was attended in <br />Brooklyn Park, where the impacts that Part 1 crimes have in a community were discussed; <br />New Brighton has the lowest Part I crime rate it has had in over 20 years. There was a <br />meeting with the I -35W coalition. The Home Show in Blaine was attended, where city <br />staff, Mark Andrle, Kerry Thorne, and Janice Gundlach were present. Employee <br />recognition breakfast is scheduled for March 6, 2007, where the Michael J Walker spirit <br />award will be presented. Mayor Larson will be traveling to Washington, D.C. March 9 -14th. <br />Adjournment <br />Motion by Council Member Doffing. Seconded by Council Member Burg to adjourn <br />the meeting. <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br />Meeting was adjourned at 8:29 P.M. <br />.TTEST: <br />Daniel A.
