Anders+,y~~'rector of Parks and Recreation
z
~ Re: Bel Air PTA Request
z
0
F-
~ Attached is a request for city funds to complete development of
m the p ayground at Bel Air School. In making their recommendation
w to the Council the Park Board should consider the following
z factors.
Q Hansen park play area was recently developed at
~ a cost of approximately $30,000. The park is
also used by the school, no school funds were
requested for this project.
J
~ The Community Involvement Fund is designed for
W joint community/city projects.
J
N The city/school playground project at Pike Lake
~ cannot be used as a precedent because the city
~' and district have agreed to jointly develop the
~ school/park playground area.
z
w
~ If the city wishes to contribute to this project, it may do so
~ with the development of a joint powers agreement between the city
Q and the school district.
a
w
z
0
a
W
U
w
Z
Q
Y
Q
a•
