The city would put in a 4 or 5 car parking lot <br />and clean up the area. Both Cadwalader and the city <br />will benefit. <br />V. :New Business <br />A. Review of Long Lake Beach Grand Opening <br />Anderson said plans are underway for the Long Lake <br />Beach grand .opening on Saturday, June 13th at 11:OOam. <br />A simple ribbon cutting ceremony with. the Mayor, Don <br />Salverda, and typical public officials is .planned. A <br />brief tour., kids games., and drawings are planned. <br />Stockyard Days will be going on so there will be a lot <br />of people in the area. A lifeguard-drill will. be <br />demonstrated. .Advertisement will include flyers to <br />be handed out at New Market. <br />Kalina asked why there was a gap in time between the <br />ribbon cutting ceremony and the kids games. <br />Anderson responded that he didn't think the <br />commissioners would be interested in the games. <br />Anderson said the beach may be opening earlier than <br />June 13th, depending on the weather. <br />Anderson said the grand opening day may include free <br />admission to the beach. <br />Williams suggested having the ceremony at 12:30 if the <br />beach opens at 1:_00 and the rodeo starts at 1:00. <br />B. Review of Golf Course Operation <br />Mary Burg, Golf Course Superintendent, was present to <br />review the golf course operation with the Park Board. <br />Some changes of the past years have been:. <br />-enlarged clubhouse allows staff to <br />see first tee <br />-maintenance building was built <br />-new parking lot <br />-new benches -(donated) <br />-stairway - 4th tee (Jaycees doing work) <br />-ongoing planting projects <br />
