V. New Business
A. Silver Oak Pazk Planning
Anderson recapped the last meeting that was held with the residents.
- Skating
- Location of the playground
- Location of the Tennis Court
- Land swap with Cadwallader (he is not interested)
- Regulate pazking (street or in pazk)
- Fencing -north boundary
Anderson commented that the tennis courts will still be moved.
Anderson stated the Pazk Board needs to consider access to the tennis courts.
A resident commented that Valleyview Lane was going to be open.
Anderson said the City Engineer said no. The bank is so steep that a
driveway would not be safe. When levelled off, it's too close to the water
main.
A resident asked how wide the driveway is.
Anderson said 16-18. ft.
Anderson said the picnic azea could be taken down and the tennis courts put in
that azea. The playground could go in the area about 1/2 way down. We
could continue to flood the free skating azea but would not put boards up for
hockey.
A resident asked why the playground would be moved - it just needs to be
regraded.
A resident stated not to take away the flat azea, that is the area that is heavily
used.
A resident said an easement could be obtained.
A resident asked if the flat azea could be flooded. Anderson responded yes
but there would not be grass in the summer. Residents responded that the
grass there wasn't good anyway.
A resident said they would hate to lose that flat area.
2
