NEW BRIGHTON PARK BOARD MINUTES JUNE 1, 1994 I. Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 7:30pm by Chair Olson. II. Roll Call Members present: Cazlson, Heinrich, Kinzie, Knuth, Orel, Olson, Sykes Also present: Amy Jakubowski (Spring Intern) Members absent: Eichers, Trevorrow, Council Rep. Williams III. Minutes of May 4, 1994 MOTION BY CARLSON, SECONDED BY SYKF.S, TO APPROVE THE MAY 4, 199411IIrTUTES AS SUBMITTED, MOTION CARRIED. IV. Correspondence A. Council Report Anderson gave a report in Williams' absence. Innsbruck Pazk name was approved by the Council. The Council rejected the addition of a 3rd floor on the Family Service Center building at this time. Wanted to have tenants before it was built. The 3rd floor can be added at a later date, but it will cost more to do it that way. B. Multi City Senior Center The Rice Creek Shopping Center has been looked at very seriously but the numbers aze not working with the inclusion of the senior center. Matt Fulton and Maurice Anderson are looking more seriously at Brightwood Hills as possibility for the senior center. The current building would be torn down and a new one put up which includes both a clubhouse and senior center. Abasement could be put in. C. Family Service Center Anderson said the first floor is capped. Not one penny has been spent over budget to this point. The azchitect and construction management firm aze doing their job. Looking at occupancy mid to late November. Two full time staff people have been hired for the Family Service Center; Linda Reil and Brenda Weller. The Pazk Board complimented Amy Jakubowski (spring intern) on gathering the information and putting together the report (fees, etc.) on the Family Service Center. The Pazk Boazd inquired about how these proposed fees compazed with Shoreview's and other communities. Anderson said most of the fees aze in line with other communities.
