FAMILY SERVICE CENTER USE POLICY Mission Statement Mission of the New Brighton Family Service Center is to provide a gathering place to enhance New Brighton's strong sense of community and to provide quality leisure and wellness opportunities .with particular emphasis on family and intergenerational activities. Recreational, cultural and wellness programs will be provided through the combined efforts of the City of New Brighton, #621 School District, Northwest Youth and Family Services and other community organizations. The City encourages public use of the Family Service Center and is committed to providing high quality recreational and social opportunities for its citizens. The City is also committed to providing high quality gathering spaces for residents and resident groups. Facilities will be made available to non-resident groups and individuals, however, resident groups and individuals will be given scheduling and fee priority. . HDURS OF OPERATION General public hours will be 6:OOam-10:00pm Monday through Saturday and 8:OOam - 6:OOpm Sundays and holidays. Hours may be adjusted to correspond to building use patterns. The community. room may be scheduled until 12:00 midnight and the building may be scheduled for teen "lock-ins" from 9:OOpm to S:OOam. SCHEDULING PRIORITY To schedule for the upcoming year (September -August), requests will be due on August 1. After August 1, requests will be done on a first come first served basis. For groups that request space at the Family Service Center a priority scheduling procedure will be followed. Note: The Community Room does not apply to this scheduling priority. Priority 1 City of New Brighton sponsored or affiliated programs/events and non athletic events for School District 621. Priority 2 Individuals, organizations, businesses, non athletic events for St. Anthony\New Brighton School District 282 and churches that are located within the New Brighton city limits. Priority 3 Any school athletic event for School Districts 621 and 282. Priority 4 Individuals, organizations, businesses, schools, churches that are located outside the New Brighton city limits. When interpreting #2 and #4 the address of the main office or main residence will determine the classification.
