New Brighton Family Service Center Draft 5 August 17, 1994 Mission Statement Mission of the New Brighton Family Service Center is to provide a gathering place to enhance New Brighton's strong sense of community and to provide quality leisure and wellness i opportunities with particular emphasis on family and intergenerational activities. Recreational, cultural and wellness programs will be provided through the combined efforts of the City of New Brighton, #621 School District, Northwest Youth and Family Services and other community organizations. HOURS OF OPERATION The Family Service Center is intended to accommodate the public as much as possible in making it convenient to participate in activities. The hours are justified by what similar facilities have found to be the best situation from a convenience and economic standpoint. The hours listed are times that the building will be open to the public. All exterior doors will be locked except during the times listed below. In the event of meetings, banquets, weddings, special events etc., the building will be available until 12:OOam. All events will be encouraged to be completed and the building empty of patrons after 12:OOam. A overnight rental (lock-in) may be scheduled between the hours of 9pm-Sam. GENERAL PUBLIC HOURS Monday-Friday Gam-lOpm Saturday Sam- l Opm Sunday Sam-6pm Hours may be extended for scheduled events such as receptions, youth lock-ins, etc. Community room use will typically end at midnight. HOLIDAYS New-Years Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of 3uly, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day hours will be Sam-Spm. All other holidays will have normal operating hours. PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT BUSINESS HOURS Monday-Friday Sam-5pm The above schedule is intended to provide sufficient hours to the public for program registration, distribution of information, and phone answering.
