SE]~VICE <br />C C ~nity Organization: <br />RECREATIONAL, CULTURAL, <br />EDUCATIONAL, & WELLNESS <br />P~f~y of New Brighton is pleased to offer your organization an opportunity to become <br />involved in the Adopt-A-Park, Adopt-A-Street Programs. These programs are modeled after <br />Parks ag~~~~,~dopt-A-Highway Program, and are designed to involve civic organizations in <br />4001o~I~vcommitment to provide a cleaner and safer community. <br />NEW BRIGHTON, MN 55112 <br />Community groups, clubs, churches, schools, service organizations, neighborhood groups, <br />General Information <br />rxoriF~~1b~~,2 individuals are being asked to consider adopting one of the City facilities that has <br />been, designated as aAdopt-A-Facility. Participating groups are asked to commit to <br />Registrat~o , <br />PxoNE~7I4~~~~$o service at least three times a year for at least two years. In return, participating <br />groups will receive recognition in the form of a sign at the facility, a City Council resolution <br />F~ ~~~them for participating, and the satisfaction of providing a useful community service. <br />Participants are asked to provide trash pickup and general cleanup. It is also possible for <br />groups to be involved in weed pulling and flower bed/shrub maintenance, flower/tree <br />planting/watering, painting and other occasional services. <br />Staff is available to provide assistance in selecting a City facility that best meets the interests <br />and needs of participating groups. The Park and Maintenance Department will provide trash <br />bags, gloves, litter pickup sticks, and other materials, as well as safety vests for participants <br />working near traffic. Park Maintenance staff will collect and dispose of trash bags and other <br />items. <br />Thank you for considering participating in this program.
