Anderson will investigate additional funding for the rock work. Report 94-022 <br />_ .Glenna Burleson, 2987 Bent Tree Hills, said her previous concerns have not been <br />heard, and feels the westend trail would be aesthetically unattractive and a safety <br />concern. She would not have bought the property if she knew of the 8 R. trail. <br />Berke asked who had told Ms. Burleson that the pazk would not include a trail <br />system. Ms. Burleson said the developer did not suggest that a trail system would- ~ . <br />be installed, and the Park Department stated that no plans have been made- regarding - <br />its development. Berke confirmed that the pazk's general layout had not changed in -- - ~.. <br />four yeazs, and the only variations made were to the eastend. Anderson said the <br />Pazk staff informed callers that the City had not adopted a-plan, however, the <br />developer had presented several variations to the Pazk Board: The Pazk Board had <br />extensively spoke in regards to a trail system when the plat was approved, and the <br />westend was identified eazly'on as a potential trail location, but surfacing was not - - <br />discussed. Berke added that the City deliberately waited until the adjacent homes` = <br />_ _. <br />were constructed so that residents could have input in the pazk's development: ° ' - - <br />Williams asked how`would unauthorized'vehicles be prohibited-from trail use - ~ - • ~•- . <br />Anderson said Pazk" maintenance vehicles'would access the park; but unauthorized - ' ~~• ~ .-- =" <br />use has not: been a problem in other pazks.
