CONCERNS FROM RESIDENTS EXPRESSED AT <br />FEBRUARY 3, 1993 PARK BOARD MEETING <br />REGARDING SAFETY & SECURITY <br />AT HANSEN PARK <br />1. Children fear drug dealers are in the park. <br />2. Need a light east of shelter (near bridge) . <br />3 . Light in big pavilion for entertainers . (Already done) <br />4. How to report vandalism. <br />5. Speed excessive on 17th during 3:30-S:OOpm hours. <br />6. Speed on 13th Ave. and some drinking problems with softball <br />players. <br />7. Would like Police to make the rounds about 11:OOpm in the park <br />after closing. <br />8. Keep park safe as in the past. <br />9. South side of park and parking lots need lights. <br />10. Frisbee golf area needs patrol. <br />11. Outside pay phone. <br />12. Suggest having lots of Police patrol in the park in the spring of <br />the year -then taper off - (High visibility) <br />13. Drinking, drugs, bad language happening by Frisbee golf area. <br />Needs lighting or patrol. <br />14. Satellites -make stable so they won't be tipped. (They will be <br />enclosed by wood fence). <br />15. Need satellites by frisbee golf area. <br />16. Need benches. (To be installed in spring) <br />17. City sponsor block walks to help neighbors get to know each <br />other. <br />18. Post distance of paths for walkers/joggers. <br />19. Basketball area for smaller children. <br />20. More matting on path leading to pleasure rink. <br />
