January 2, 1991 Park Board Minutes
B. Land Donation - East Innsbruck Association
Steve Jensen and the President of the East Innsbruck
Association were present.
Jensen stated the association started in 1977.
Jensen said the land to be donated is heavily wooded and is
about 3 acres.
Jensen stated the property is a liability but they pay very
little in taxes.
Rose asked if it were fenced.
2
Jensen said there is a fence along the freeway and then
along one side where a resident has a swimming pool. There
is a path between lot 1 & 13. The path is not maintained.
Jensen said the association has taken most of the necessary
steps. to donate this property to the City.
Anderson stated the City Attorney said if the City wants to
receive this property they can do it. There is a slight
problem with the title but it would only create problems if
the City ever wanted to sell it.
Johnson said the liability increase for the City would only
be a minor one or none at all. He recommends doing the
public a favor and receiving this property.
Carlson wondered if the Association may be better off
donating the property easements to property owners on either
side.
Jensen said the property would still be a liability to them.
Ocel asked if the property could be used for anything park
related.
Kalina asked if it would be designated as park land.
Anderson said yes.
Kalina asked if the pipeline underneath created any real
danger.
Jensen stated that the Seminary Estate homes also have a
pipeline in their front yards.
