• Pnbtic Safety Commission <br />January 31, 2007 <br />Attending: Commissioner Kerns (Chair), Commissioner Allen, Commissioner <br />Bredenbeck, Commissioner Elwell, Commissioner Grimshaw, <br />Commissioner Kelly, Commissioner Schumann, Commissioner Woods, <br />Deputy Director John Ellickson, and Bill Spoke from Allina <br />Absent: Commissioner Tollefson and Council Representative Mary Burg <br />Roll CalUCall to Order <br />The January meeting of the Public Safety Commission was called to order at 6.32 pm and <br />roll call was taken. <br />November 2006 Meeting Minutes <br />The November 2006 meeting minutes were reviewed. Comm. 5chtunaDn made a motion <br />to accept the meeting minutes; Comm. Elwell seepnded. Motion ra~ied. <br />Updates <br />CERT /Citizen Corps Council <br />No updates to report. <br />Department Reports <br />Haman Rig. is <br />No updates or incidents to report, <br />Allina 141 <br />Mr. Bill Snoke di~:buted 2006 statistics showing call types and response times for <br />Allina ambulata~s. In 6, there were 1,584 ambulance calls in New Brighton. <br />Comm. Elwell inquired about the EMT transition at Allina. Mr. Snoke reported that is <br />complete and theyhave not seen any increase in the mortality rates. <br />Mr. Spoke offered a tour of the Allina dispatch to the commission. He will work with <br />Director Jacobson and Deputy Director Ellickson to coordinate this. <br />Mr. Snoke reported that due to the AED save at the Cub Foods store in New Brighton, <br />Allina is working with Cub, at their request, to put AED's in all of their grocery stores <br />and train their staff in the use of the AED. <br />
