<br />-I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />July 8, 1986 <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Locke reviewed staff report concerning the proposed preliminary <br />resolution for Industrial Revenue Bonds; stated the operation <br />will expand from 45 to 75 employees over the next five years; and <br />informed the council the development would be within part of the <br />Second Street N.W. redevelopment district. <br /> <br />Benke asked, given the tax bill considerations in congress, if <br />there will be funds available by the time we work through this <br />process; Locke did not know, but stated the action tonight does <br />open the possibility for industrial revenue bonds for this <br />project and makes sure any actions taken between now and when <br />the expenses is built, could be included in the financing of the <br />bonds. Locke also stated it does not obligate the city to <br />follow through. <br /> <br />Benke agreed we need to begin the process. <br /> <br />Ron Wells, president of Hardwood Visuals, Inc., reviewed the foot <br />print of the building and explained the architect is working on <br />preliminary drawings which will available in a few months. <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Williams, to CLOSE THE PUBLIC <br />HEARING. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Motion by Williams, seconded by Gunderman, to WAIVE THE READING <br />AND ADOPT A RESOLUTION GRANTING PRELIMINARY APPROVAL TO THE <br />APPLICATION OF HARDWOOD VISUALS, INC. FOR INDUSTRIAL REVENUE <br />BONDS. <br /> <br />Brandt noted the completion date of the project should be <br />corrected to read June 1987 rather than June 1986 before the <br />document is executed. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />With regard to the staff report concerning the proposed changes <br />in the Personnel Chapter of the City Code, Berger noted Brandt <br />had suggested the elimination of Section 21-25 (Records and <br />Reports) and that Dayle Nolan, attorney, had agreed that section <br />could be placed in the City's Administrative Code.
