<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />June 10, 1986 <br /> <br />Council Business, continued <br /> <br />Benke stated those were the types of details that would be dis- <br />cussed at the informational meeting; Senden stated the plans show <br />the road at its highest point would be lowered about six feet from <br />the present grade, as more than six feet would require the re- <br />placement of the existing sanitary sewer, and less would end up <br />with about a ten foot drop to the back of the lots. <br /> <br />Norman Johnson, on the south side, stated neither he nor his <br />neighbor approve of the project. <br /> <br />Freyden had nothing to say at this time. <br /> <br />Staff had no further comment. <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Gunderman, THAT COUNCIL SUPPORT THE <br />CONCEPT OF REDEVELOPMENT OF THIS PARTICULAR PROJECT AREA AND WOULD <br />SUPPORT THE SENDEN ASSOCIATES CONCEPT PLAN and THAT AN INFORMA- <br />TIONAL MEETING BE ESTABLISHED FOR ALL AFFECTED PROPERTY OWNERS OF <br />WHICH STAFF SHOULD COORDINATE AT THE EARLIEST POSSIBLE TIME. <br /> <br />Benke asked Send en if that would be satisfatory for a week or so; <br />Senden stated it would. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Proper had nothing to add to the staff report. <br /> <br />Motion by Brandt, seconded by Schmidt, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />ADOPT A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS 86-2 <br />AND 86-6 TO BURSCHVILLE CONSTRUCTION IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$127,554.85. <br /> <br />Gunderman asked if there is an evaluation process involved when we <br />take the lowest bid for this type of work; Proper indicated this <br />company has worked for us in the past and he was pleased they were <br />the low bidder. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Kelley reviewed the staff report concerning amending Resolution <br />85-2, dance permits, and an additional item (the issuance of a <br />beer garden license for the Eagles and Jaycees on the condition <br />that adequate insurance is obtained and consistent with the <br />City's ordinance). Kelley explained that the original beer garden <br />license requested by the Eagles is in a state of suspense because <br />original insurance was inadequate in terms of the City's ordin- <br />ance.
