<br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council <br />was held Tuesday, November 13, 1984, at 7:30 p.m. in the municipal building, <br />803 Fifth Avenue N.W. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Gregory Harcus, Councilmembers Bob Benke, Jeanette Janecek, <br />and Steve Schmidt <br /> <br />Absent: Councilmember Roger Blomquist <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Also <br />Present: Henry Sinda, City Manager <br />James ~Iinkels, Director of Community Development <br />Les Proper, City Engineer <br />Margaret Egan, Director of Finance <br />Maurie Anderson, Park and Recreation Director <br />Brenda Krueger. City Planner <br />John Kelley, Chief of Police <br />Charles LeFevere, City Attorney <br /> <br />Agenda Changes <br /> <br />Motion by Harcus. seconded by Schmidt, to MOVE ITEM VI-8 (CONSIDERATION OF <br />RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR FINANCING FOR THE LAKE DIANE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT - <br />REPORT 84-293) FROM THE CONSENT AGENDA TO THE FIRST ITEM OF COUNCIL BUSINESS. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Mayor Harcus stated that, because Item VI-9 (Consideration of resolution <br />certifying unpaid tree and weed removal charges - Report 84-294) should have <br />been listed as a public hearing, Item VI-9 be a Public Hearing immediately <br />after the Consent Agenda. <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Schmidt, to APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE OCTOBER <br />23,1984, REGULAR MEETING AND THE MINUTES OF THE OCTOBER 31, 1984, SPECIAL <br />MEETING. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor, with the consent of the City Council, directed receipt of the <br />Citizen Study Committee minutes of September 26, 1984, and the Planning Commi- <br />ssion minutes of October 16, 1984. <br /> <br />Special Order of Business <br /> <br />The Mayor declared December 5, 1984, as Human Rights Day in the City of New <br />Brighton and signed a proclamation to that effect. <br />
