<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br />Apri 1 H}, 1984 <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Krueger reviewed staff report. <br /> <br />Benke commented that it would be more beneficial <br />to provide off-street parking than the 25-foot <br />buffer. <br /> <br />Harcus indicated that he agreed. <br /> <br />Motion by Harcus, seconded by Schmidt, to WAIVE <br />THE READING AND ADOPT RESOLUTIONS APPROVING <br />NON-CONfORMING USE PERMIT (NC-60) AND SPECIAL USE <br />PERMIT (SP-119) AND TO APPROVE LANDSCAPE PLOT PLAN <br />(LP-155). <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Winkels reviewed staff report and briefly discussed <br />the dollars that had been approved for the project <br />and the bids that had been received. Falls & Nyhusmoen <br />was the low bidder ~335,050 including alternate~ and <br />discussion with the architect indicates that they are <br />an excellent firm. <br /> <br />Schmidt asked Winkels,if we were to approach a figure <br />in excess of $350,000 with the alternates, if there <br />were any contingencies in the Purchase Agreement re- <br />garding the June payment for the sale of the second <br />fire station land. Winkels indicated there were no <br />contingencies. <br /> <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Schmidt TO ACCEPT THE <br />LOW BID OF $335,050, INCLUDING ALTERNATES #1 AND #2 <br />AND TO AWARD THE CONTRACT TO FALLS & NYHUSMOEN, SUBJECT <br />TO APPROVAL OF THE BUILDING PERMIT, AND TO DESIGNATE <br />THAT FUNDS FROM THE SALE OF THE FORMER SECOND FIRE <br />STATION SITE SHALL BE USED FOR ALL FIRE STATION PROJECT <br />COSTS IN EXCESS OF $350,000. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Benke inquired as to when the work would begin. <br /> <br />Bob Pierce, Lindberg Pierce, Ltd., indicated work <br />waul d beg; n wi thi n ten days to three weeks. <br /> <br />Krueger reviewed staff report and noted that a <br />representative was present from Thermo King to <br />respond to any questions from Council. <br /> <br />Page Two <br /> <br />Fire Station (Special Use <br />Permit, Non-Conforming <br />Use Permit, and Site <br />Plan Approval) <br />Resolution 84-41 <br />Resolution 84-42 <br />Report 84-86 <br /> <br />Fire Station Addition Contract <br />Report 84-87 <br /> <br />Thermo King LP-156 <br />Report 84-88 <br />
