<br />:- <br /> <br />-I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Counci 1 Minutes <br />July 10, 1984 <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Schmidt, to APPOINT <br />GEORGE CARLSON AND LARRY EICKHOFF EACH TO TWO YEAR <br />TERMS TO THE LONG LAKE REGIONAL PARK ADVISORY BOARD <br />WITH TERMS EXPIRING MAY 1, 1986. <br /> <br />Harcus asked Anderson the status of development of <br />the Regional Park. <br /> <br />Anderson responded there are delays in the County's <br />Engineering Office getting the plans and specifica- <br />tions prepared; there will be no construction this <br />year with the possible exception of some grading that <br />might start late in the fall. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Blomquist, to DIRECT <br />STAFF TO DIRECT A LETTER ON BEHALF OF COUNCIL TO THE <br />COUNTY BOARD AND TO THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR EXPRESSING <br />OUR DISAPPOINTMENT AND, IN FACT, DISMAY IN THE CONTIN- <br />UED DELAYS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF LONG LAKE REGIONAL <br />PARK in light of the anticipated delays that have been <br />communicated. Benke further stated that it was council 's <br />understanding that when the park planning took place two <br />years ago that development of the park would proceed <br />forthwith, we've seen a lot of delays and he can't see <br />any real excuse for it. He further stated that we now <br />have one more year of delay, and that people paid for <br />the park for years and it's time that they use it in a <br />safe and efficient manner. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Benke, to APPROVE THE <br />CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1.
