He further stated that
the cost for the church to connect on Mound
Ave. would be great.

The City Engineer responded that they would
not have to connect to the water at this
time, but they would still be assessed.

I

Mr. Larson, of All Seasons Comfort, questioned
whether they would be required to connect to
City water.

The City Engineer responded that there was
no ordinance requiring that.

Councilmember Blomquist questioned whether there
would be additional costs if the sewer was
extended down Highway 8 and would the assessments
be greater?

The City Engineer responded that any additional
work added to the project would cost all property
owners additionally.

The City Attorney responded that if the additional
work was done next year, since the other property
owners were assessed, they would not be charged
again. If it was done now, the property owners
would be charged more because it would be part
of t.his project.

I

Karen Larson, All Seasons Comfort, questioned if
there were other costs involved in hooking up.

The City Engineer responded that the water is
basically free as it is being paid by the Federal
Superfund, and that he could not give her any
numbers. at this time for connect charges; he
further explained that an estimated figure would
be $10-15 a foot.

RESOLUTION #83-131

Public Hearing
7:43-8:07 p.m.
Sanitary Sewer
Extension Old Hwy.
8 & Mound Ave.
Project 83-15
