<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br />January 24. 1984 <br /> <br />Page Four <br /> <br />Barger indicated that "substantially complete" means that <br />after that date the facilitity will be used continuously. <br /> <br />Motion by Blomquist. seconded by Benke to amend the motion <br />to include that Well Site #10 will be substantially com- <br />pleted by June 1. 1984 with final completion on June 15. <br />1984 and that Well Site #11 will be substantially completed <br />by July 13. 1984 with final completion on July 27. 1984. <br /> <br />4 Ayes. 0 Nayes. Amendment Carried <br />4 Ayes, 0 Nayes. Main Motion Carried <br /> <br />Chief of Police reviewed the report. <br /> <br />Harcus asked about police reports in the newspapers. Chief <br />indicated he is working with the newspapers to have our <br />information published. <br /> <br />Chief of Police reviewed the staff report concerning a <br />Cooperative Purchasing Agreement with Hennepin County. <br />Chief indicated that we do have a purchasing agreement <br />with Ramsey County and the State. The savings with <br />Hennepin County are available to anyone wishing to get on <br />the list. We can get a bid. but we're not obligated to <br />buy. Hennepin County bids on a very wide range of items. <br /> <br />Harcus asked about lead time. Chief responded there is a <br />30-day minimum amount of time. <br /> <br />Police Report for <br />December 1983 and <br />Yearly Summary <br /> <br />Cooperative Purchasin~ <br />Agreement with <br />Hennepin County <br />Report #84-15 <br />Resolution #84-5 <br /> <br />(Schmidt arrived at <br />8:15 p.m.) <br /> <br />Motion by Harcus. seconded by Benke to pass a resolution <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A <br />COOPERATIVE PURCHASING AGREH1ENT WITH HENNEPIN COUNTY. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes. Motion Carried <br /> <br />City Manager reviewed the staff report concerning the Goal <br />Setting/Team Building Program and the Government Training <br />Service"advising various prices of various establishments. <br /> <br />Goal Setting/Team <br />Building <br />Report #83-17 <br /> <br />Benke stated that although he preferred to get away from <br />the distractions of the metro area. he was concerned that <br />Cragun's would not comply with the spirit of the Open <br />Meeting Law. <br /> <br />City Attorney stated that he was not aware the Council <br />would be present at this seminar and he. too. is concerned <br />about the Open Meeting law. He will check the ruling and <br />advise. <br />
