Counei 1 Mi nutes
February 28, 1984

I

Krueger verified Schmidt's statement that this
amendment is addressing the issue for new develop-
ments when application are made.

Benke stated that nothing under current construction
is against the proposed amendment.

Motion by Janecek, seconded by Schmidt, to WAIVE THE
READING AND HOLD THE FIRST READING OF AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING SECTION 7-060 OF THE NEW BRIGHTON ZONING
CODE PERTAINING to PARKING REQUIREMENTS IN PLANNED
RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENTS.

5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried

Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Schmidt, to CALL A
WORK SESSION ON MARCH 27, 1984 AT 7:00 P.M. FOR
PURPOSE OF MEETING WITH THE PLANNING COMMISSION TO
DISCUSS THE HOME OCCUPATION ORDINANCE.

5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried

Motion by Benke, seconded by Schmi dt, to RECONSIDER
THE ACTION TAKEN ON THE NAME CHANGE 14TH STREET.

5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried

Benke explained that this matter has been dealt with
insufficiently and apologized to the various members
of the community who have been impacted by this matter
and that, after the last action, there seems to be two
different factors that are being looked at: (a) the
name change itself and (b) whether or not there should
be some requirements for a deposit.

In talking to other Councilmembers, Benke states they
are will i ng to support the name change but he doesn I t
think the majority supports the requirement of a deposit
as a factor of the name change.

Benke's opposition was to require a certain deposit. It
is his understanding that the action and motion that
was passed was a simple motion to change Innsbruck
Terrace to 14th Court. He further understands that the
Council needs an action to direct staff through a
resolution for the change. Consequently, a motion
would be effective to that extent. Benke further
stated that, at this point, the Council needs to either
revote on the original motion or start with a new
motion.

Page Seven

Work Session, Home Occupation
Ordinance - March 27, 1984
Report 84-60

Name Change - 14th Street
Report #84-22
