<br />NEW BRiGHTON ORDAINS as follows:
<br />Section. 1. .New Brighton City Code Section
<br />17-61.is amended a,s follows:
<br />Sec. 11-81. Notification to property owner

<br />section 2. New Brighton City Cllde Section
<br />17.62 is amended as follows:
<br />S..11-6I. Manner of notle..
<br />Eradication notice for noxious weeds as
<br />described tiy section 17-60. shall be made in
<br />accordance with the provisions of Minnesota
<br />Statutes, Cl:lillltllr 19 ~71 Sections 18 76 to
<br />wa.
<br />Notice for eradication or control of all other
<br />weeds shall lie made by ~ mail to the
<br />property owner ill oosted on the orooertv. If
<br />the owner is not in possession of the property,
<br />then a copy of the notice shall be sent t6 the
<br />lessee, occupant, or agent of the owner of the
<br />premises.
<br />Section 3. New Brighton City Code Section
<br />17.63 is amended as follows:
<br />Sec. 17-63. Abatement by city on public
<br />property, private property.
<br />The weed inspector, his delegated assistant.
<br />or other !lelegated agent of the city., shall
<br />cause reil'loval or other prescribed, action of
<br />any weeds located on public property; or on
<br />private property, upon expiration of thel.iJnl

<br />Section 4. New Brighton City Code Section
<br />11.64 is amended as followS:
<br />Sec. 17-84. Assessment of coats Incurred
<br />by city.
<br />Costs incurred by the City In destroying
<br />noxious weeds shall be chargell to the
<br />landowner and Msessed as provided ,in
<br />Minnesota Statutes, Section ~~.
<br />Costs incurred by the' city in destroying all
<br />other weeds shall be charged to the
<br />landowner In the 1ollo'l,(ing manner. Notieein
<br />writing of the work done and the costs and
<br />..ses involVed Shall be mailed to the
<br />'O'901'19t''of the property. The notice shall
<br />indicate that if the total amount is not paid to
<br />tIle':(!ity wtthinthirty (30) days, such, costs and
<br />expenses may be assessed against the
<br />property as provided by Minnesota Statutes,
<br />Section 429.101. In the event payment is not
<br />received by the city as required by the n~i~,_

<br />of eight (8) percent, may be assessed against
<br />the property benefited in accordance With
