Section 1. Section 21-24 of the City's Code of Ordinances Is added as follows: sec. 21-24. Criminal History and Driving R8con:J Ehtckground CMca. All finalist applicants must . provide the City of New Brighton With w~n authorization to .Investigate . the app/lcanfs criminal history and drivIng record. and provide the results to the Assistant City Manager. Any finalist applicant who does not grant the City wntten authorization to investigate the applicanfs criminal history and driving record will not be considered for the posn~n. .. _ (2) Pursuant to Minn. Stal S 364.05. If the applicant is denied employment based ontbe findings of the criminal hlstory and. driving record. background Investi~, the City shall Infonn the appllc$nlin writing of the follQvrlng: .A The grounds and reasons for the denial or dii;QuaNllcation; .
