The New Brighton City Code is amended by deleting Sections 7.1 through 7.4 and <br />i adding new Sections 7-1 through 7.5 as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 7-1. Adoption of Building Code. <br />The Minnesota State Building Code, as adopted by the Commissioner of <br />.: Administration pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Sections 16B.59 to 16B.75, including <br />: I all of the amendments, rules and regulations established, adopted and published from <br />:; time to time by the Minnesota Commissioner of Administration, through the Building <br />:i Codes and Standards Division is hereby adopted by reference with the exception of <br />; 1 the optional chapters, unless specifically adopted in this ordnance. The Minnesota <br />il State Building Code is hereby incorporated in this Code as if fully set out herein. <br /> <br />:t <br /> <br />Section 7-2. Application, Administration and Enforcement. <br />1 The application, administration, and enforcement of the Building Code shall be in <br />,; accordance with the Minnesota State Building Code. <br /> <br />The Building Code shall be enforced by the Minnesota Certified Building Official <br />designated by the Manager to administer the code. <br /> <br />Section 7-3. Permits and Fees. <br />The issuance of permits and the collection of fees shall be as authorized in Minnesota <br />Statutes, 168.62, subdivision 1. Permit fees shall be assessed for work governed by <br />the Building Code in accordance with the fee schedule adopted by the City Council. <br />In addition, a surcharge fee shall be collected on all permits issued for work governed <br />by the Building Code in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, Section l6B.70. <br /> <br />Section 7-4. Violations and Penalties. <br />A violation of the Building Code is a misdemeanor. <br /> <br />Section 7-5. Building Code Optional Chapters.
