THECITVCOUNCll OF THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON, MINNESOTA, ORDAINS as follows: The New Brighton City Code is amended by deleting Sections 7-' through 7-4 and adding new Sections 7-1 thro\J9h 7-5 as follows: Sec. 7-1. AdQptlon of Building COde. The Minnesota State Building Code, as adopted by the Commissioner of Administration pursuant to Minnesota Statutes. Sections 168.59 to 166.75, Including all of the amendments, rules and regulatiOns established, adopted and ptlbllshedfrom tml'FtCf"1m'llf' by the Minnesota Commissioner of Admini- stration, through the Building Codes and Standards Division Is hereby adopted by reference with th8 exception of the optionalchapters,unless speclfically adopted in this ordinance. The Minnesota ,State Building COde Is hereby incor- porated in this Code as, If fully list out herein. Section' 7-2. 'AppllclItlon, Admlnl- strlltlon lInd EnforCement. The application. administration, and enforcement of the Building Code shall be In accordance with the Minnesota State Building Code. The Building Code-llhall be ,enforced by the Minnesota Certified Building Officlal designated by the Manager to administer theeade. Section 7-3. PermltllllndFee.. The Issuance of permits and the CQllectionof fees shall be as authortzed In Minnesota Statutes, 168.62, subdivision 1. Permll fees sMll be assessed for work governed by the Building Code In accordance with the fee schedule adopted by the City Council. In addition, a llurcharge fee IIhall becollected,on all permits, issued for workgovemed by the, Building Oode in accordance with MinnellOta Statutes, Section 168.70. ~'M;ytl11r ,~--........ A violation of the Building Code Is' a misdemeanor. SectIon 7-6. Bultdlng COde' Optlonlll Chapters. The Minnesota State Building Code, established pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Sections 16B.59 to 168.75 alloWS the Olty to adopt by reference and enforce certain optional chapters of the most current edition of the Minnesota State Building Code. The following, optional provisions identified in the most current edition of the State Building Code are hereby adopted andlncaJPQrated as part of the Building Code for this municipality.
