<br />Sec. 9-17. Inspectors <br /> <br />The Director of Public Safety may assign Fire Fighters from the Department of <br />Public Safety as inspectors as necessary. Upon request of the Director of Public <br />Safety, the City Manager may assign other employees to assist with these inspections. <br />(Code 1966, Section 218.00(2); Ord. No. 330, 3-26-74) <br /> <br />Sec. 9-18. Annual Report <br /> <br />Annually, the Director of Public Safety will complete a report to council on all public <br />safety activities including fire prevention services. (Code 1966, Section 218.00 (3); <br />Ord. No. 330, 3-26-74) <br /> <br />See.. 9-19--9-29. Reserved. <br /> <br />ARTICLE 3. FIRE CODE <br /> <br />Sec. 9-30, Adoption <br /> <br />The Minnesota Uniform Fire Code, current edition, is hereby adopted as part of the <br />fire code of the City. The fire code as adopted by the City Council is adopted into this <br />Article by reference. Further, any amendments, appendices, and indexes to the current <br />edition that are adopted by the State and that are required to be adopted by <br />municipalities shall become a part of the City's fire code. (Code 1966, Section <br />450.00(1); Ord. No. 331, Section 2, 3-26-74, Ord. No. 508, Section 1, 6-28-83) <br /> <br />See, 9-31. Penalties. <br /> <br />A person shall be guilty of a misdemeanor who violates any provision of the fire <br />code, fails to comply with the fire code, or violates or fails to comply with any order <br />made as part of the fire code. Each and every violation shall be considered a <br />misdemeanor. <br /> <br />The imposition of one penalty for any violation shall not excuse the violation or <br />permit it to continue; and all such persons shall be required to correct or remedy such <br />violations or defects within a reasonable time; and when not otherwise specified; each <br />ten(10) days that the prohibited conditions are maintained shall constitute a separate <br />offense. The application of this penalty shall not be held to prevent the enforced <br />removal of prohibited conditions. (Code 1966, Section 450.00 (4); Ord. No. 331, Section <br /> <br />-r <br />
