That the City should encourage the search for economically <br />feasible alternative energy sources; <br />2. That the District Heating System would use as a source <br />of energy solid waste/garbage which would normally <br />compound the County's land fill space problems; <br />3. That a district heating system would benefit the area <br />citizens by reducing the cost of solid waste/garbage <br />removal and hauli~g; <br />4. That the system would reduce the cost of energy to area <br />users; <br />5. That the City should be an integral participant in the <br />preliminary planning of such a system so that the system <br />design reflects the City's redevelopment objectives and <br />goals; <br />6. That the system could provide a major incentive based on <br />reduced energy costs for the future development of the <br />project area; <br />7.
