That an application for non-conforming use variance was <br />filed with the City of New Brighton on April 8, 198L. <br />2. That such application was reviewed by the New Brighton <br />Planning Commissiun Board of Review on April 22, 1981. <br />3. That the City Council, pursuant to published and mailed <br />notices, held a public hearing on May 12, 1981, all <br />person's present at the hearing were given an opportunity <br />to be heard. <br />4. That the property is zoned R-l, Sirigle Family Residential <br />2. That the applicant's existing garage is 308 square feet <br />and has a two foot rear yard setback and ~" 2 foot side <br />yard setback; , <br />3. That the proposed additi6n is 286 square feet and will <br />also have a two foot setback; <br />4. That the existing garage is structurally sound and in <br />good appearance and the proposed addition will match the <br />existing garage; <br />5. That the addition should not adversely affect surrounding <br />properties and is small in size; <br />6. That a hardShip would result if the applicant could not <br />expand upon the existing garage in terms of vehicular <br />s to rage be caus e most .prope.rti..es.in that area have, <br />double garages. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, .That the application NC.49 is hereby <br />approved subject to the applicant's conformance with the site <br />plan dated and signed by the applicant and City Planner. <br /> <br />Adopted this <br /> <br />12th day of <br /> <br />. 1981. <br /> <br />
