<br />l <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO: 629 - <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE <br />MORATORIUM ON NEW DEVELOPMENT <br />IN CERTAIN AREAS OF THE CITY OF <br />NEW BRIGHTON ALONG THE HIGHWAY 8 <br />COAAtDOR. <br />The City Council of Ihe City of New <br />Brtghton Does Ordain: <br />Section 1. By Ordinance No. 623, the City <br />Council adopted a moratorium on new <br />development in certain areas of the City of <br />New Brighton along the Highway 8 Conidor <br />and directed a study of the Highway 8 <br />Conidor be conducted. The .study, authorized <br />by Ordinance No. 623, has not yet been <br />completed and it is therefore necessary to re- <br />establish and extend the moratorium created <br />by Ordinance No. 623. <br />Section 2. Minnesota Statutes, Section <br />465.355, subd. 4. allows for the extenSion 01 <br />a moratorium lor ~ to an additional pertod 01 <br />18 months. <br />Section 3. The moratorium period <br />established by Ordinance No. 623 Is hereby <br />extended until september 30, 1997. or until <br />such earlier time as this ordinance Is revoked <br />or otherwise amended. <br />Adopted this 25th day 01 March, 1997. <br />/s/ Robert Benke <br />.
