AN INTERIM ORDINANCE RELATING TO TEMPORARY SIGNS ON STL VER LAKE ROAD; <br />AMENDING NEW BRIGHTON CITY CODE SECTION 9-140. <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON ORDAINS as follows: <br /> <br />l. BACKGROUND <br /> <br />1.1 Silver Lake Road in the City of New Brighton is currently under construction from Silver Lane to <br />Third Street NW (hereinafter referred to as the "Construction Area"). <br /> <br />~ ; <br /> <br />].2 Businesses located adjacent to Silver Lake Road are experiencing disruption of business activities <br />due to the road reconstruction project. <br /> <br />] .3 The impact on business activities can be mitigated by authorizing the erection and maintenance of <br />temporary signs during the construction period, without significant adverse impact on the <br />surrounding neighborhood. <br /> <br />: II. TEMPORARY SIGNS <br /> <br />2.] Businesses located on properties adjacent to Silver Lake Road within the Construction Area may <br />erect temporary signs until September 1, 1996 subject to the following conditions. <br /> <br />2.2 Permits shall be required for temporary signs in accordance with the procedures applicable to <br />temporary signs under City Code Section 9-]40. No permit fee will be required. <br /> <br />2.3 Temporary signs shall not exceed thirty-two (32) square feet in area. <br /> <br />2.4 Only one temporary sign shall be permitted pursuant to this ordinance for each lot or parcel ofland <br />legally subdivided and of record with the Register of Deeds of Ramsey County. <br /> <br />2.5 No additional permits for temporary signs shall be issued pursuant to City Code Section 9-140 for <br />any lot or parcel of land which has been issued a pennit pursuant to this ordinance. <br /> <br />III.
