<br />SECTION 9-6,9. Compensation. All members of the Department
<br />shall be paid an amount established by resolution oftha City
<br />Council.
<br />
<br />SECTION 9-;70. Retirement. All members must retire from
<br />active service at age sixty (60). Upon majority vote of the
<br />members and approval of the Manager, retirement may be extended
<br />on a year-to-year basis, but not beyond age sixty-five (65).
<br />Any member so extended may be required to give evidence that such
<br />member is capable of performing all jOb requirements and meets
<br />all minimum jOb requirements.
<br />
<br />SECTION 9-71. False Alarms, Interference, Parking Penalty.'
<br />It shall be unlawful for any person to give or make a malicious
<br />fire alarm, or give or make or cause to be made or given, in a
<br />reckless or negligent manner, or without probable cause, or to
<br />neglect or refuse to obey any reasonable or lawful order of the
<br />Chief or other officer of said Department, or to unreasonably,
<br />negligently, willfully or unlawfully interfere with the-members
<br />of said Department ,in the discharge of their duties, while they
<br />are engaged in combating any fire or while on other active duty 0
<br />appearing in publici no person shall drive any vehicle over a
<br />fire hose or upon any other apparatus, except upon specific
<br />direction from the Chief or other officer, and then only with
<br />due cautioni no person shall park any vehicle or place any materi 1
<br />or obstruction within twenty (20) feet of the entrance to any
<br />fire station or other place where fire trucks or vehicles are kep
<br />or housed, or park or leave any vehicle within ten (10) feet of
<br />any fire hydrant~ or park within three hundred (300) feet of any
<br />fire while said Department is engaged in fighting same; no
<br />person shall use any property of said Department for any private
<br />purpose, nor willfully or intentionally without proper authority
<br />f. take, remove or conceal any tool, appliance, accessory, apparatus
<br />II or other property used by or belonging to said Department, and
<br />Ii any person" firm or corporation which" shall violate any of the
<br />l< provisions"of this section shall, upon conviction thereof, be
<br />n deemed guilty of a misdemeanor.
