PE RM I TS <br /> <br />R permit shall be required for the erection, relocation. <br />repair or modification of a sign regulated by this code except <br />those signs not requiring permits under Section 9-040. <br /> <br />a. No sign shall be erected. modified or relocated <br />or reoairs made costing more than fifty dollars <br />($50.00) without first obtail"lil"lg a pet'mit. Such <br />permit will be void within three (3) months if the <br />sign has not been installed. <br /> <br />b. A permit may be obtained by submitting a completed <br />application with the City Planner. <br /> <br />c. Permit fee~ shall be established by City Council <br />t'eso I ut ion. <br /> <br />SECTION 9-030. <br /> <br />DEFINITIONS. <br /> <br />R. <br /> <br />. <br />Above roof sign. R sign, any portion of which is <br />displayed above the peak of the roof line or beyond <br />the outline of the building or roof as viewed from <br />the front of the sign. <br /> <br />b. <br /> <br />Billboard. A sign erected and used for the primary <br />puroose of advertising products, goods Or services <br />other than those offered on the premises of the sign. <br /> <br />c. <br /> <br />Campaign sign. A temporary sign promotinQ the <br />candidacy of a person running for a governmental <br />office or promoting a position on an issue to be <br />voted on at a governmental election. <br /> <br />: ~ <br /> <br />d. <br /> <br />Canopy sign.
