<br />'. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />23 <br /> <br />SECTION 10-22. Sewage Disposal. <br /> <br />All water-carried sewage shall be disposed of by means <br />of the public sewage system of the City of New Brighton, <br />provided, however, food vehicles may dispose of their liquid <br />waste into receptacles carried on the vehicle for that <br />purpose. This waste ultimately shall be discharged into the <br />public sewage system. Itinerant food establishments may be <br />exempted from this requirement by the health authority. <br />provided that an alternate means of adequately disposing <br />of sewage, approved by the health authority, shall be <br />provided. <br /> <br />SECTION 10-23. Plumbing. <br /> <br />Plumbing shall be so sized and installed and maintained as <br />to: carry adequate quantities of water to required <br />locations throughout the establishment; prevent contamination <br />of the water supply; convey sewage and liquid wastes adequately <br />from the establishment to the sewage system; and not <br />constitute a source of contamination of food, utensils, <br />or equipment, or create an insanitary condition or nuisance. <br />Food service equipment, such as refrigerators, dishwashing <br />machines, ice makers, and steam tables shall not be <br />directly connected to the sewer. <br /> <br />SECTION 10-24. Toilet Facilities. <br /> <br />Every food establishment with the exception of food <br />vehicles shall be provided with conveniently located and <br />approved water flush toilet facilities which are kept <br />clean and in good repair and free from flies, insects, and <br />offensive odors. Toilet fixtures and seats shall be of <br />sanitary design and easy to clean. The doors of all toilet <br />rooms shall be self-closing. Easily cleanable receptables <br />shall be provided for waste materials and covers may be <br />required. Mechanical exhaust vent alation shall be provided, <br />except in existing food establishments having adequate <br />ventilation by means of a window. ~fuen toilet facilicies are <br />provided for patrons, such facilities shall meet the <br />requirements of this item. <br /> <br />Itinerant food establishments may be exempted from some of <br />the requirements of this section, provided that toUet <br />facilities appropriate to the food establishment activity <br />and approved by the health authoritf shall b~ provided. <br />
