AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 218 OF THE NEW BRIGHTON CODE OF <br />I. ORDINANCES ENTITLED, FIRE PREVENTION BUREAU <br /> <br />I The city Council of the city of New Brighton does hereby <br />! ordain: <br /> <br />i Section 1. Section 218 of the New Brighton Code of Ordinance <br />! is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />! SECTION 218:00 Establishment and Duties of Bureau of Fire <br />I Prevention <br /> <br />I <br />j Subd. 1. The Fire Prevention Code shall be enforced by the <br />I Bureau of Fire prevention in the Fire Department of the city of <br />New Brighton which is hereby established and which shall be <br />operated under the supervision of the Chief of the Fire Department <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Subd. 2. The Chief of the Fire Department may detail <br />members of the Fire Department as members of the Bureau of Fire <br />Prevention and as inspectors as shall from time to time be <br />necessary. Upon the request of the Fire Chief, the city Manager <br />11 may assign employees of the Building and Planning Department <br />to serve as members of the Bureau of Fire prevention and as <br />I <br />'j Inspectors. <br /> <br />Subd. 3. A report of the Bureau of Fire Prevention shall <br />be made annually and transmitted to the City Council. <br /> <br />SECTION 218:10 Definitions. <br /> <br />a. Wherever the word "Municipality" is used in the Fire <br />Prevention Code, it shall be held to mean the City of <br />New Brighton. <br /> <br />b. <br /> <br />Whenever the term "Corporation Counsel" is used in <br />Fire Prevention Code, it shall be held to man the <br />Attorney for the City of New Brigh'b?n., <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I SECTION 218:20 Establishment of Limits of Districts in <br />Which storage of FlammaBle LiQuid!;; in Outside Aboveground Tanks <br />I is to be prohibited. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Subd. 1. The;,limits referred to in Section 16.22 of the <br />Fire Prevention Code in which storage of flammable liquids in <br />outside above ground tanks is prohibited, are to be established <br />by the Bureau of Fire Prevention and it shall be designated on <br />a map which shall become a part of this code. Three oopies of <br />said map shall be on file with the city Clerk and one copy shall <br />be posted in the office of the Chief of the Fire Department. <br />
