Police Department schedules shall not be covered by <br />the provisions of Section 240:16, Subd. 1. Police Department work <br />schedules shall be on a shift basis established by the Chief of <br />Police and approved by the Village Manager. On an annual basis <br />the shift schedule shall be the equivalent of a forty (40) hour <br />work week. All changes to the established 'shift schedule shall.be <br />approved one month in advance. <br /> <br />Section 3. Section 240:28, Subd. 1. of the New Brighton <br />Village Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 240:28, Subd. 1. How Much <br /> <br />Each permanent and probationary employee having less than <br />five (5) years consecutive full time service shall earn vacation <br />leave at the rate of five-sixth (5/6) of a working day for each <br />calendar month of full time service or major fraction,thereof. <br />Each permanent employee with five (5) but less t:hanfifteen (15) <br />consecutive years of full-time service shall earn vacation leave <br />at the rate of one and one-quarter(l1..i) working days for each <br />calendar month of full-time service or major fraction thereof.. , <br />Each employee with fifteen (15) years or more of consecutive full <br />time service shall earn vacation leave at the rate of one and <br />two-thirds(l 2/3) working days for each calendar month of full <br />time service or m~or fraction thereof.. The above vacation <br />schedule shall not apply to employees who are represented by an <br />exclusive representative as provided in M..S..A. 179..61....179..77.. <br />Such employees shall have vacation days as provided in their <br />approved contract.. Sworn Police employees shall have the same <br />vacation ~chedule as provided to police patrolman.. <br /> <br />Section 4.
